NORMAN — Norman Cultural Connection will host a presentation by Annie Griffiths, one of the first female photographers at National Geographic, at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, 555 Elm Ave.
Griffiths has worked in nearly 150 countries during her career. On Saturday, she will share stories of women and children who have been helped by her nonprofit, Ripple Effect Images. This presentation is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Norman Arts Council Grant Program.
Following the lecture, a public reception will be at MAINSITE Contemporary Art, 122 E Main St. The reception will be an opportunity to see Annie Griffiths’ work and learn more about how to support Ripple Effect Images.
The lecture is part of Norman Cultural Connection’s Compassion Around the World lecture series.
