After plunging back below the $10,100 area yesterday, Bitcoin’s (BTC) price has jumped back above the $10,300 area as the altcoin markets see modest gains once again.
Bitcoin price movement
At the time of writing, Bitcoin (BTC) is up by 2.36% and trading at $10,353.97 as per data from CoinMarketCap. The world’s number one cryptocurrency saw a day of slight volatility yesterday as it dropped as low as $10,056 while the intraday high hit $10,393.
While BTC is trading steadily above $10,300 many analysts believe the price will face difficulty near the $10,500 resistance. Currently, BTC is consolidating gains below $10,450 and $10,500 resistance levels.
Notably, bitcoin’s price is steadily gaining momentum above the $10,300 against the U.S dollar. In order for Bitcoin to see more gains, it will need to break through $10,450 and $10,500.
The past seven days saw BTC testing the $10,000 support on multiple occasions. However, the bears failed to take full control below the $10,000 area. As a result, bitcoin’s price started on a fresh climb from the $9,893 swing low. BTC broke the $10,000 and $10,200 resistance levels and moved into a new short term positive zone. Furthermore, there was a close above the $10,250 level as well as the 100-hour simple moving average.
